WHAT TO REMEMBER IN CHRISTMAS’ PUSH AND SHOVE ?
Wreath hung on every door, the bliss of ringing an old aged bell rather an electronic one. As the door opens, every house sustains the ginger bread’s essence, twinkling wine glasses, rose cookies, plum cakes and a serene festive environment. This is when we enter the season of green and red, well the Christmas vibes through us. But is this beautiful imagery of Christmas, all that it has to offer us?
The beauty of Christmas oft blinds us from its true meaning. The act of achieving internal happiness via external modifications will never sustain. Just like an eye for an eye, to attain internal happiness, the feeling shall also be developed internally.
It is strange that internal joy develops via dedicating one’s time and efforts and creating good path to others. The strength that comes when we help one another, the joy that evolves in every heart is unmatched.
To have the Birth of Jesus in our hearts just like his birth in a lowly manger. One shall strive to make oneself right and give until it hurts.
In the end, what we should remember in all the push and shove is Christmas is a time to love, a time to share and realise others’ needs and do the best to help people live better even by a tiny percentage.
Riddle
Here’s this week’s contest!
Clothed in many colors,
With a star upon my head,
Presents kept under me,
By the old man in red.
Take a guess. Click here to Answer! :D
I won’t be home for Christmas
In distant lands where shadows fall,
A yearning heart, a plaintive call.
The twinkling lights, a distant dream,
Christmas' embrace, not as it seems.
I long for the warmth of family near,
Laughter echoing, joy sincere.
A Christmas tree adorned with care,
Together, the moments we used to share.
The carols hum a melancholy tune,
Underneath a solitary moon.
Mistletoe hangs, but the heart feels marooned,
Away from the hearth, where memories strewn.
Yet, in absence, love finds a way,
A bridge of hope, across the gray.
Virtual embraces, through screens convey,
The spirit of Christmas, though miles away.
Hold tight the memories, let them glow,
In the heart's alcove, let emotions flow.
For distance cannot quell the love we know,
In absentia, let Christmas spirits grow.
